Philcon has a large pool of SF&F pros whom we've worked with successfully for many years. However, we're always looking for new friends — knowledgeable and interesting amateurs, pros and enthusiasts with pertinent experience and expertise.

However, Philcon reserves the right to exercise discretion in its selection of program participants. That is: (a) we're going to investigate if you're really as interesting as you claim, (b) evaluate if your particular expertise matches our program themes, and (c) determine if you fit our finite schedule. And even if you meet all three criteria, it's an imperfect universe; you might still get left out.

Better luck next year — but why wait? You can still register for the conference as a general attendee. There's a good chance you can make your talents shine as an audience member during a related program item, or by leading an unprogrammed event. And please don't discount the value in being a volunteer, which for many is the first step towards full-fledged participation.
