PHILCON 2006

70 years of Science Fiction Gatherings

Gaming

Grab those cards, dice, hex-boards and miniatures; ready your guile and strategy.

Games and Gaming

Gaming activities will be conducted in two double rooms, located on the Mezzanine level: Salons 3 & 4, and 5 & 6. They will be open all day and all night, the entire 48 hours of the conference.

(Although the rooms will be available continuously, it's not essential that you show the same stamina and keep them company. They won't mind if you leave temporarily to stretch, partake of a few of Philcon's many other offerings, and consume the occasional complete meal. (Or even, if you can imagine the concept, sleep.) Nutrient and neurochemical imbalances lead to poor strategies! The rooms will be happy to see you return: refreshed, recharged and renewed.)

Organized Gaming

(List forthcoming)

Game Bank

The Game Bank is a supply of board and strategy games that can be borrowed for impromptu matches and contests. The Bank will be closed-and-locked for only a short period (a few hours) during the dead interval of the night.

LARPing

Although many conventions host Live Action Roleplaying Game scenarios, and Philcon has done so several times in the past several years, there will be no LARP activities in 2006 — just so you know. Please check again next year.
