The Philadelphia Science Fiction Society presents Philcon, the premiere regional conference of Science Fiction and Fantasy since 1936.

Philcon 2004 is being held at the Philadelphia Marriott Downtown on December 10th-12th, 2004.

  • Events Schedules Posted On-Line!: All programming schedules have been posted in the Program Area! Further, we've updated our Principal Speaker for our new Guests of Honor.

  • URGENT - Brian Aldiss Cancellation:

    Unfortunately, Brian Aldiss will be unable to travel to attend Philcon 2004 due to medical concerns.


    We are pleased to announce that Pamela Sargent and George Zebrowski have agreed to step in and serve as substitute Principal Speakers in Brian's absence.

    Once again Philcon will be held at the Philadelphia Marriott Downtown. The Marriott is situated in the heart of Center City Philadelphia, conveniently located near the Reading Terminal Market, Chinatown, and many Historic Sights.

Please call 1-800-228-9290 and ask for the special rate for Philcon 2004 at the Philadelphia Marriott (using group code PSQPSQ for quiet floors and PSNPSN for hospitality/event floors).

    Rooms will be available at the special rate of $83 per night for single or double occupancy and $103 per night for triple or quad occupancy.

    At the Door Registration Rates:

    Registration at the door will be:
    Adult Weekend = $50
    Children Weekend (age 7 to 12) = $25
    Day Rate Friday = $20
    Day Rate Saturday = $35
    Day Rate Sunday = $20

    Mail-In Registration Instructions:

    No pre-registration forms postmarked after November 30 will be accepted. Children under seven are free when accompanied by an adult. Babysitting is available for children ages three months through age six. See Babysitting for more information.

    If you are sending in more than one membership at once, please be sure to provide the name, and address, if different, of each individual so that we can send confirmation and future flyers.

    “Badge” names are possible, provided we also have your real name.
