If your group intends to host an open party at Philcon,
you must: contact the Party Czar in advance!

There will be seed supplies for all groups hosting open parties! (read: free stuff) We will also be posting a Party Board in the main convention hallway. Philcon membership is required to host or attend a party. Alcohol may not be served at any open party. If alcohol is served, the hosts will be responsible for checking the ages of the attendees. Any party that does serve alcohol must be a closed/invitation-only party. Be aware that the Hotel Liaison can enter the party at any time.

  1. When you contact us, please tell us:
  2. The name of your group
  3. The tentative day and time of your party
  4. Whether you'd like a suite or not
  5. The name the room will be listed under
  6. If there will be additional people staying in the room
  7. If you would like a suite near another friend/group

You will be notified of suite assignments soon after. We cannot guarantee that friends will get suites next to each other, but we can try!

Rules & Policies

* = guns, gun replicas, swords, knives, lasers, model lasers, or anything that could be perceived as a weapon by the public will NOT be permitted at Philcon. The Philcon Committee has the final say on what constitutes a weapon. Unfortunately, we must reserve the right to revoke the membership of anyone who refuses to comply with this policy. The only exception is for registered participants of the Masquerade, who may wear a weapon, excepting guns and operational lasers, from one-half hour before to one-half hour after the Masquerade. All Masquerade weapons must be affixed to the costume. Participants in the Costumer's Workshop may also wear weapons with the same restrictions, while in the workshop.
